Perfect Dark, Fable and Hellblade 2 are the ones Im looking forward to.

1Victor761d ago (Edited 761d ago )

Do they even have 10 /🌽JK
Btw when was elder scroll announced exclusive to Xbox? Did I missed something

gamer9761d ago

All Bethesda games will be console exclusive, except existing agreements they already had in place such as Deathloop

iplay1up2761d ago

Elder Scrolls next game will be Xbox and PC only.

SullysCigar761d ago

I thought ALL xbox games were on PC now, so there were no more exclusives?

For me, it's just Hellblade 2 I'm interested in at the moment, based off the first game, but it would be nice to see more after all this time.

gamer9761d ago (Edited 761d ago )

Yes anytime xbox exclusive is mentioned they mean console exclusive.

Old McGroin761d ago

@SullysCigar

I think you can take it that if someone mentions that an Xbox game is exclusive it means it won't appear on PlayStation.

gamer9761d ago

God of War is on PC, should we remove if from the list of best Playstation exclusives?

SullysCigar761d ago

^ @gamer9, of course you should. If it's on PC it's multiplaform now, just like all xbox games.

It was exclusive for 4 years on PlayStation, but it's not anymore. You've got to be consistent.

beefynachos761d ago

"Btw when was elder scroll announced exclusive to Xbox? Did I missed something"
Have you been living under a rock?

onisama761d ago

@SullysCigar

so does sony games now are lunching on PC ... bu xbox Exclusive means MS platforms (windows, xbox, cloud gaming)

onisama761d ago

@SullysCigar

Not sure about what a PS exclsuive means tho its a PS game on microsoft platform.... Feels weird spelled weird... You want me to make a list for you for all the PS exclsuives in pc?

Might want to hold off your expectations for Fable and Perfect Dark. I don't think we'll see anything Perfect Dark related but I can see a in engine fly by camera in Fable. Showing off the world, but that's as far as that goes though.

Old McGroin761d ago

All the talk of Golden Eye recently had me imagining a Perfect Dark and James Bond crossover. Will never happen but would be pretty cool.

darthv72761d ago (Edited 761d ago )

I dont have any expectations other than when they are ready, they are ready. Maybe you misunderstood this piece? It's just about upcoming games in general. So regardless of their release dates, they are still the ones im looking forward to.

DOMination-761d ago

It's been confirmed already that neither Perfect Dark nor Fable will be at the show

thesoftware730761d ago

Hellblade 2, Avowed, Gears 6, Starfield, and PD.

There is more but I'll leave it at that.

ABizzel1761d ago

I'm hoping they skip Gears 6 for now and launch a New IP first.

thesoftware730761d ago

I would not mind that, but I'm a big Gears fan..so I would not complain.

RedDevils761d ago

I'm surprise people still interest in Gears.

Gunstar75760d ago

Hivebusters was excellent as was gears 5.

Could do with updated combat though

monkey602761d ago

Hellblade is the only must have right now. Not that there won't be more, I'm actually really excited to see Redfall, Indiana Jones, Fable and Avowed and State of Decay 3. I just think the idea of saying they are must have games when we haven't seen ANYTHING from them outside of a CG reveal trailer is ridiculous.
My expectations for Perfect Dark and Everwild are also kept very low given the issues developers are having. Theres also rumours of Playground suffering with Fable which I hope aren't true.

bleedsoe9mm761d ago

They have so much great stuff coming 1st and 2nd party. How do you pick just 10

Crows90761d ago

Pretty easy when there's nothing we've actually seen gameplay of.

Eonjay761d ago

The only PC/Xbox game I'm interested in is State of Decay 3. And yes I realize we haven't seen gameplay. I'm just expecting it to be better than State of Decay 2 which was already fun for me dispite its flaws.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Shouldn’t Ignore a Huge Chunk of the Map Like Skyrim Did

Skyrim might be a modern day classic with a famously huge open world, but it still neglected to put any content on one huge part of its map.

Get rid of the stupid sprint button and bring back athletics and acrobatics

mkis0071d 3h ago

I hate the perk system. I feel so weak at the start.

Daeloki1d 1h ago

That's the point of 99,99999% of rpgs

mkis0071d ago (Edited 1d ago )

But then Why play once I'm perked up? I want some horizontal progression. I feel like im playing just to get stronger. Once I'm as strong as possible what is there left?

Ratchet and Clank weapons are a perfect example of the best kind of progression.

FPS_D3TH14h ago

Why play when you’re perked up? Brother there is no limit to leveling and perking in Skyrim. You’re not even really making much sense if you’re arguing about RPGs to be honest.

Daeloki27m ago

"But then Why play once I'm perked up?"

Wait I thought your problem with perks was feeling weak at the start? But to answer your question, using Skyrim as an example, by the time I've leveled up to the point of feeling powerful, I still have tons of quests and sidequests to deal with, and enemies tend to scale with your level, so it's not a matter of being overpowered either. Honestly it just sounds like you're complaining for the sake of complaining.

jznrpg21h ago

So you want the 8-10 second sprint button so you get tired but you can kill god sand dragons. I can run for 20 minutes easily and I’m old. It makes no sense. You always start out weak in RPGs.

OtterX13h ago

Nah, that had me swimming laps in lakes and ponds trying to level up. Like A LOT. I never want to have to do that again.

Inverno11h ago

I know it's a dumb reason but i really can't play Skyrim because of the lack of speed and acrobat. The sprint button and jumping restrictions killed it for me.

Yeah nah stuff extra ocean content.

Michiel19891d 2h ago

yeah no, in 99% of cases underwater combat is just bad/worse than regular combat, I'm good without it.

Michiel198920h ago

even in mario bros 3 it was awful

anast9h ago

Mario Bros water levels are what immediately think about when talking about underwater combat.

anast22h ago

It will be developed by AI so there will be stuff all over the map. I'm not sure it will be fun, but there will be stuff.

TheCaptainKuchiki15h ago

Skyrim gotta be one of the most overrated games ever

Michiel198913h ago

nah it was really good and that after 13 years people still play and create mods for it is a testament to that.

Starfield's No Man's Sky Comparison is Only Going to Become More Apt With Time

When Starfield launched last year it was often compared to No Man's Sky, and those comparisons are only going to grow stronger with time.

Yep I agree, NMS wasn't awesome at the start either, but even then it provided freedom to explore and travel. Starfield is and never will be anything more than an segmented game, it's definitely not an open world exploration game. It will always be a mistake to compare these two games as they have nothing in common.

Leeroyw1d 1h ago

Agreed. Only modders will make this happen. I play nms in VR and it is a completely different and amazing experience from launch.

jznrpg1d 12h ago

Squares will never be planets

phoenixwing1d 11h ago

The sad thing is that no man's sky is just better in terms of technical achievements. Starfield is loading zones galore and no amount of mods will fix it

Obscure_Observer1d 9h ago

"The sad thing is that no man's sky is just better in terms of technical achievements."

The only "sad thing" here is you disingenuously comparing "technical achievements" for a game that has 8 years worth of a no number of patches, updates, fixes, mods, DLC and Expansions vs a 10 *months* old game.

"Starfield is loading zones galore and no amount of mods will fix it"

And yet it has more active players on STEAM than NMS, which is nothing but proof that most gamers don´t give a damn about loading screens.

mkis0071d 3h ago (Edited 1d 3h ago )

OO
How many devs and how many dollars did each have? Hello games is an indie studio with 35 devs at its peak 4 to start. Spent probably under 10 million to this point on NMS (conservative guess). Bethesda had 500 devs+ working on the game and spent 200 million. Did they deliver something suitably impressive ( in 2023 terms not 2011 terms)?

You are lying to yourself if you think what they have achieved is equal. Starfield needs proper space travel to be in the conversation of technically impressive. The only impressive thing continues to be the basic ES Fallout rpg script system...but even that hasn't evolved since skyrim.

It's sad you think bethesda should need any time to make a modern game with their resources. Let's see how long their support for the game lasts. Still haven't made the improvements people are asking for, too focused on their damn paid dlc instead of making the game up to today's standards.

Leeroyw1d 1h ago

I just come here for the Obscure Observer seal clapping at this point.

phoenixwing17h ago(Edited 17h ago)

@obscure
I love that you go on about active users which might as well be shots fired in a game for all the statistic is worth. The truth hurt didn't it? Coping because your game is square zones when no man's sky is limitless.

Obscure_Observer16h ago

@mkis007

What I know for a fact is that Sean Murray charged atrocious full 60 dollars for that crap of game on release which to this very day, is one if not the biggest scam in the gaming history!

"Did they deliver something suitably impressive ( in 2023 terms not 2011 terms)?"

Don´t ask me. Ask Digital Foundry.

"It's sad you think bethesda should need any time to make a modern game with their resources."

Sure thing bro. Wake me up when you have something remotely better than Bethesda´s Open World RPGs to play.

"Let's see how long their support for the game lasts."

It´s a BETHESDA game. It will certainly last for more than 98% of post launch support that ANY RPG publisher would give to a RPG game. The only one that comes to mind right now is CDPR.

Besides, Todd Howard already confirmed that he and his team will deliver annual expansions for Starfield, Shattered Space will be released this fall and a new expansion for 2025 is already in development. So mark my words and get used to see Starfield hitting the headlines for a long time.

@phoenixwing

"The truth hurt didn't it? Coping because your game is square zones when no man's sky is limitless."

The only "truth" is that there´s more players playing in "square zones" of Starfield than your "limitless zones" in NMS.

You can´t bend the truth or spin facts.

Hofstaderman15h ago

@obscure I didnt even bother to read your tirade of text.

neutralgamer199212h ago(Edited 12h ago)

Obscure

NMS launch was bad to say the least but did you know their studio got flooded before launch and they lost a lot of progress. Now compare that with MS money and resources towards Bethesda and starfield. Starfield had more game testers than any other Bethesda game ever

How come we have to go through the same steps to fix games every time. Why couldn't Bethesda look at NMS situation and learn from it to make sure not to make the same mistakes. 10 million budget and a team of 15 people s 200 million and team of 500 people. You can make all the excuses you want but as someone who bought a XSX for this game and when MS bought Bethesda and the game didn't live up to any hype or expectations. People criticizing want a better game and provide feedback but you seem to think that's hate and bring up steam users. NMS at launch sucked no one can deny that but looking at the circumstances and availability of resources Bethesda made a bigger blunder especially given all the talk of new IP and new ideas.

Not when skyrim is still getting new mods, and as to another article out right now, they are canceling mod ideas like that tamriel mod, because nobody wants to play starfield.

Starfield modding project to create a whole Elder Scrolls-themed planet "has been canceled"

An ambitious Starfield modding project to create a whole Elder Scrolls-themed planet "has been canceled", but the poster behind it says it was "genuine".

XiNatsuDragnel2d ago

That's unfortunate hopefully they can work on something else or let other fans do that

Inverno1d 18h ago

They're better off bringing Starfield to Skyrim, since no one wants to move on from that game lolz
