All dedicated Helldivers 2 players know that the second Thursday of every month is reserved for the release of a new Warbond. Back in June, there were some announcements stating that future Warbonds would be delayed, but nothing was set in stone. Now, with the second Thursday of July just around the corner, the players are hoping for a surprise.
Helldivers 2 Community Manager Gives a Vague Statement About the Future Warbond
You might remember that after much speculation Viper Commandos was announced a week before the drop. Could it be possible that we’re getting a Warbond without it being announced? Well, probably not, but who knows? Everyone’s favorite Community Manager, Twinbeard, gave an ambiguous answer to a question about the next Warbond release.
Twinbeard stated: “The date for the next Warbond hasn’t been revealed, nor the interval between them going forward. The decision to increase the cadence from what was prior monthly still stands, however, so no new Warbond yet”.
MSands noted: “They haven’t revealed when the next Warbond will be released. They decided to increase the time between Warbonds but haven’t determined what that time should be yet. So no July Warbond”. Well, that might be the case, but some more optimistic players disagree.
Zyan-M retorted: “I see it as logical and necessary to reduce the number of weapons in each bonus, before Viper, 3 primaries were completely unsustainable, but with the last bonus and the cosmetics they have a good margin. One whole month without a bonus seems like a mistake to me in the current and aggressive market, people disperse very easily and have nothing to come back with”.
Players Share Their Expectations For the New Warbond Release
Well, we can probably safely say that the Helldivers 2 devs don’t plan to release a new Warbond on July 11, the second Thursday of July. As for when it will drop, the community could only guess. One player, mfukurou, said: “Being that they went on summer break I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t see the next Warbond until August”. Many players testified to being confused as the release plans changed several times.
As for what the Warbond might contain, ithappenb4 had some ideas. They noted: “Will we ever see another 10-page Warbond? I know Warbonds have slowed down, and they take more time and care to make. In the future, will we ever get another 10-page warbond, for Super Credits or free, for everyone? Just like the first Warbond. I think it’d be really nice as a treat for players”.
Disownership agreed: “I think one Premium Warbond every 2-3 months and one free big Warbond every 6 months would be a good pace. Hell, I wouldn’t even mind the bigger Warbonds not being free, honestly, because I’ll have time to farm up Super Credits if I want, but still have an incentive to spend money if I don’t feel like grinding SC”.
So far, we don’t know when or what to expect of future Warbonds. Hopefully, the developers will let us know soon. In the meantime, we suggest you concentrate on the current Major Order, that win might provide us with a new Stratagem. After all, we don’t mind using our rusty old weapons to spread democracy.
