The annular Fortnite Summer event is here and it brought a couple of big changes. Titled “All Sweat Summer”, it went live on July 4 and will end on July 18. In these two weeks, you will see a couple of changes in Ranked Battle Royale and Zero Build game modes, as well as a new bunch of seasonal quests. So, let’s see what the All Sweat Summer event in Fortnite is all about.
Changes in Fortnite All Sweat Summer Event
The Ranked modes have been shaken up a bit with a couple of changes. As of July 4:
- Vehicles and all vehicle-related items are disabled, including Boss Cars.
- Nitro Fists are disabled in Ranked modes.
- Characters are no longer Hireable. Hostile Characters and Bosses (like Wasteland Warriors and their Medallions) are still present.
The idea behind this is to make the Ranked modes more like tournament play. So cars and any car-related shenanigans are out of the picture until July 18, as well as Nitro Fists. Lastly, you won’t be able to hire NPCs to help you out (or serve as meat shields). So no cars and no NPCs, just a regular competitive shootout.
