Mastery Rank might be the most important thing in The First Descendant. Increasing this Rank will provide players with more Descendant and Weapon Module capacity, increased inventory space, and more. This means that increasing the Mastery Ranks is vital to getting stronger and more effective in the game. Â
How to Increase Mastery Rank in The First Descendant
Simply playing the game will accumulate Mastery experience points for the player, increase weapon proficiency, and increase Descendant levels. This means that players just have to play the game and will gain Mastery over time as missions are completed. However, to increase the Mastery Rank, players must return to Albion, and use Prime Hands, located in the Arche Factor Manipulator.Â
Prime Hands can be located in the eastern portion of Albion, and once the first Mastery Rank is achieved, players will receive a quest to visit them. Moreover, raising the Mastery Rank does not require any extra resources, the only thing needed is enough Mastery experience. Once players use Prime Hands, a short cutscene will be played, after which the Mastery Rank will be increased.
How to Quickly Gain Mastery Ranks in The First Descendant
As players progress through the story of The First Descendant, they will unlock Special Operation missions. One of those special operations is located in Kingstone and is called Defend Albion Resource. The mission is a defense-type mission where four players have to defend an objective against waves of enemies.   Â
Once the 7th wave is completed, players have the option to continue with the defense or to take the reward and return to Albion. Completing the first seven waves will take about 15 minutes and reward players with around 5,000 mastery experiences. Moreover, doing this mission will greatly increase the weapon proficiency level, along with nicely leveling up the player’s Descendant.Â
