Is there any form of PvP in the game at all? Let’s see. Keep reading to see if there is any PvP in The First Descendant.
The First Descendant: Will It Have PvP?
The First Descendant is designed as a co-op squad-based shooter, so no, it will not include any PvP. It was asked during one of the Dev Talks with Beomjun Lee and Minseok Joo, Nexon Games’ Producer and Director respectively. They said that when they started developing The First Descendant, they firmly agreed to create a game that would stay true to PvE.
“We made it clear from the start that it would be a PvE-centered game and proceeded with developing it. So, we do not have any plans to add PvP content for the time being,” said Minseok Joo.
If you are not a team player, you can always fly solo and play The First Descendant on your own.
Does The First Descendant Need PvP?
We would say: no. There are so many PvP games out there that one more would have a hard time breaking through. On the other hand, PvE games are having a resurgence of late, and the sheer popularity of those games proves that the gaming market is in need of more PvE.
Moreover, PvP is notorious for having toxic communities so avoiding that is another clever move by the devs. We will see what the situation will be with microtransactions, another infamous feature. But for now, it is safe to say that The First Descendant will be PvP-free.
