When Can You Preload The First Descendant

The First Descendant squad fighting a huge robot

The latest title from Nexon Games is a squad-based sci-fi shooter, where you and your mates take on the roles of Descendants, superhuman warriors, each with their own set of skills and abilities. The game focuses on squads (or individuals, if you don’t feel like playing with other people) of Descendants and their fight versus aliens for the salvation of humanity. The best part of this PvE looter-shooter is the boss battles against enormous Colossuses. Add the fact that the game is playable on almost every modern platform and features superb graphics, and you’re in for a treat.

All of this sounds more than amazing, so how can we jump into action as soon as possible? There is no Early Release, but can you at least preload the game? Let’s see.

The First Descendant Preload Date and Time

The preload will begin on June 30, two days before the official release. The preload goes live at 12am PT / 3am ET / 8am BST / 9am CEST / 3pm SGT / 4pm KST / 5pm AEST / 6pm JST / 7pm NZST across all platforms.

For the record, the official release of The First Descendant is on July 2, 2024, at the same times as the preload.

So if you preload The First Descendant, you’ll be able to hop into action as soon as the game releases. Naturally, the game will be available for preload until the end of Monday, July 1

The First Descendant Preload Size

To download The First Descendant on your platform, you should have about 40GB of space on your drive. Specifically, on Steam, it says that the game will take up 35.93GB of your hard drive. On PlayStation 5 it will take up 36.35GB and on PS4 it will take 28.17GB. The Xbox Series X/S users need to clear up 41.98GB on their platforms, and we have no info regarding the game size on Xbox One.

Remember that the game is completely free to play, so all you have to do is visit the corresponding platform/shop (Steam for PC, PS Store for PlayStation users, and Microsoft Store for Xbox users) at the aforementioned time and download the game freely.

That gives you about two days to make some space on your drives, gather up your friends, and prepare accordingly for the amazing-looking cooperative shooter that is The First Descendant.
