Emoting Mid-Fall Will Probably Save Your Life
This whole craze started when a Redditor 21471824781 shared some unorthodox advice. They said: “Attention Helldivers, using an Emote mid-fall may SAVE YOUR LIFE”. Alongside this unusual proclamation, they posted a video of tests being done with Light and Medium Armor.
This player explained: “With a tactical deployment of an Emote mid-fall, the power of friendship and/or Managed Democracy can protect you from even the most grievous falls! I find Emotes like Hug to work the best, but if you wish to show your dedication to Super Earth a Salute midair may be just sufficient enough to cushion your landing”.
ThisGuyHere_Again offered an explanation on why this just might work. They noted: “If I had to guess, it seems the primary factor is how it repositions your body and the center of gravity for the game’s physics. When you dive and flail, you seem a lot more likely to land on your head and, knowing AH, even impact damage can score headshots”.
They continued: “Emotes meanwhile make you tumble more with their stiff postures, increasing the likelihood of landing primarily on one or more “Non-head” limbs. Or I’m completely wrong, and Emotes just somehow give you a hidden damage resist buff because spaghetti code and/or it’s funnier to do silly things when in danger”.
Helldivers 2 Players Share Their Excitement Over This Hack
As you might have expected dedicated Helldivers 2 players tested out the theory that Emoting might save their life. Most of them agree – it can. John_Hayabuza raved: “This is f**king hilarious. We need to have this s**t gain more traction. Hell, I can’t wait to see how everyone starts doing kamikaze s**t gets thrown across the map, and lands happily and safely after T-posing over an Automaton”.
CombustiblSquid reported: “It’s hit or miss if it works but it’s amazing when it does. That and diving into 2 inches of water to not die”. LordOfTheToolShed added: “And also majestically re-emerging as if you were several meters underwater”.
One smart Redditor, ganimedesdsg, warned the community: “Stop talking about this. Arrowhead is gonna patch the fun out of this. Something like Emoting takes double damage, and they’ll break the game a little further in the process”.
