Luigi's Mansion 2 HD is a great game for newcomers, though anyone who played the 3DS version may be left wanting more.
From GamesReviews:"Luigi’s Mansion 2 was originally a game for the 3DS. Now its back, in HD on the Nintendo Switch. Is it worth checking out? Here’s our review of Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD for Nintendo Switch!"
Nintendo's bringing back Luigi's Mansion 2 for Switch, but before you celebrate, know that it costs an absurd $60, and it's not a 1+2 bundle.
I wonder if this (And Donkey Kong is 60 as well) is going to get as much backlash or coverage as the Last of us part 1 price.
And if this is 60...expect the zelda ports to be 60 each as well.
if you cant afford it just wait for one of nintendo legendary sales
You're fully welcome not to purchase the game. If Nintendo didn't think that there was demand for this product at the $60 price point, they would price it appropriately so. Evidently, $60 is not high enough to scare off the volume they are looking to achieve.
The common fallacy with remasters/remakes, is that folks assume that these are being marketed only to existing fans of the original title. The reality is that for many, it will be their first experience with the game, and such, the value proposition may be fully acceptable. From personal experience, I have experienced many a great game for the first in remaster/remake form (Shadow of the Colossus, Ico, various Zeldas, Dead Rising, Demon's Souls, Sly Cooper immediately come to mind).
In the end, if you paid $40 for Luigi's Mansion for 3DS in 2010, $60 is essentially the equivalent price in 2024 ( https://www.usinflationcalc... So in your nostalgia-filed eyes, just imagine that you are back in 2010 again, and your three $20 bills have morphed back into only two bills... it's the same price now as it was then.
