So what we getting at launch?

-Spider-man Miles Morales
-Horizon II
-Demon's Soul's
-Sackboy Big Adventure
-Destruction All Stars
-Death Loop
-Reternum
+plus all the obvous multiplats and cross-gens like TLOUII, Ghost of Tsushima, GTAV (although who still hasn't played GTAV?)

Nyxus1486d ago

Not all of those will be launch games. Spider-Man possibly. I think Horizon II will be 2021 at the earliest.

jimbost791486d ago

Yea I don't think all of them will launch, maybe 2 or 3 of them and astrobots playroom, built into every ps5 to showcase the features of the dualsense

waverider1486d ago

You wish they arent. Thats diferent

Nyxus1486d ago

@ waverider: I wish? Why would I? I'm going to get a PS5 at launch.

@Nyxus

""It's the best line-up we've seen in the history of the Industry, certainly in the history of our platform. Beloved franchises and characters and a lot of new IPs. There's really something for everyone in the LAUNCH TIMEFRAME"

Yeah, I agree with you, he's saying timeframe/window, so probably the first 6-to-12 months, BUT, and that's a big BUT, all the games on that list will be released in the first 6 months of the console, HOLY S***!!!! Definitely the best launch line-up ever.

I'm thinking more 'launch window' type deal. I guess we'll find out more towards the Launch.

If they are saying that ALL those games we saw, including the First Party ones are going to be released in the first 6-to-12 months on the console, I can definitely agree with that statement.

RpgSama1486d ago (Edited 1486d ago )

You forgot games like R&C, Kena and GT7

crazyCoconuts1486d ago (Edited 1486d ago )

It's hard to keep track of all of them. Both R&C and GT7 looked like they were very far along already

rainslacker1486d ago

That would be a pretty loaded launch day. Launch window(6 months) would make more sense. If you give everything day one, even assuming you have more for later, it means that a lot of them will go unnoticed. Some of those games may end up becoming big franchises if they release day one, which is why a new IP is not a bad idea for launch day. I'd put my money on Destruction All Stars, as it has all the pieces needed to become a favorite. New IP, seemingly fun crazy game play, co-op or MP modes, and a bit of that destruction derby in an arena feel to it.

Returnum would also be a good choice, and Housemarque did very well with Resogun....although being free to PS+ members probably helped that a lot.

PS5 is going to do well I think

Saaleh1486d ago (Edited 1486d ago )

I want Sony to create a studio that only make games like Kena. You know what, i want 2. The second studio will Remake Dark Cloud 1 for me, twice. First Remake is the same level of Demon's soul Remake but with Kena's Art style. Second Remake is to make a true, serious, very dark messed up yet hopeful experience, very complex systems like satisfying weapon usage, building a village for my mom and cat..etc. Dark Cloud must be made into a next gen AAA exclusive experience! Must..

Sony, why can't you see it?!

Sorry, i rarely get excited ok.. but when i do my instincts kicks in and i have dreaming issues T_T

ClayRules20121486d ago

Lol, I’m right there with you. Kena looks spectacular! I’m so intrigued by that game.

Relientk771486d ago

I want Kena: Bridge of Spirits so bad. The game looks fantastic and right up my alley. I think Sony should just buy Ember Lab, before someone else sees their potential because they are talented.

sushimama1486d ago

Oh me too. I was surprised that many more people weren't going nuts over it.

rainslacker1486d ago

That'd be kind of what Japan Studio does.

Saaleh1486d ago (Edited 1486d ago )

It does, like ape escape. But sadly we rarely see something hit the heart like ape escape and Kena and even if we get it sony just stops taking it seriously.

The thing is, it can be so much more if Kena were a first party studio, imagine if Kena 2 were in development for 4 to 5 years like Ghost. Imagine if every small bit of its world/characters/story taken seriously and add to that the art can turn all that effort to really engaging, personnel and impactful feeling in a way that other games couldn't, just push PS5 tech with that art style. That can highlight PS essence as much as TLOU 2/Horizen2, that's what we need this gen. Just like how Uncharted 2 turned into unique experience, Kena 2 or something similar can be expanded into a ps icon, if Sony able to do that it will make this gen unique. I feel like that will open many doors for older games like Dark cloud.

Saaleh1486d ago (Edited 1486d ago )

Even 2D games would be far more interesting if this art is taken seriously, maybe we see something like this again:
https://www.google.com/sear...

to me this is still mind blowing because of its design. Only possible because they took it seriously.

They are just getting started.
