Shadow Of The Erdtree Does Not Fix Elden Ring's Biggest Problem

Despite receiving universal praise, Elden Ring's Shadow of the Erdtree DLC fails to rectify the base game's biggest flaw—reused boss fights.

Dont think thats really an issue. Bosses are something that would take a lot of effort to develop.

In programming you ideally never design a mechanic/system that would only be used once.

Such a dumb article. I bet they would praise it if it had a boss rush mode.

I think it's a fair criticism but it's also understandable it's like that in a game of that scale. Could be the case that for his next open world game Miyazaki will dial it back slightly in order to reuse assets less but if not, I'm fine with that.

Compared to most open world games the number of unique or nearly unique enemies and bosses is very high I'd say.
