Skyrim might be a modern day classic with a famously huge open world, but it still neglected to put any content on one huge part of its map.
Fans of Western-made RPGs are being treated to an incredible lineup of games in development at Microsoft's studios.
That doesn't refute my statement. I'm looking forward to avowed to be honest. I have a gaming pc.
No shit? Maybe don't announce Elder Scrolls 6 in 2018 when it won't be out till 2028 and it won't be such an issue.
@BrainSyphoned
So when should they announce it? 1 month before release? Fact is, we don’t even know when this game started development. For all we know, Bethesda could have been developing this game alongside Starfield since before its reveal in 2018. So where did you guys get this 2028 date from?
Avowed is 2024 so not that long.
By the time you're done with Starfield you got another one to look forward to.
Fable and Clockwork are most likely 2025 (small chance either could be late 2024 as well)
Outerworlds 2 could be 2026.
Elder Scrolls 6 could be 2027, a lot of people are predicting 2028 or later for this one but you gotta remember Starfield only took so long because they spent a lot of time upgrading the Creation Engine. So I don't think Elder Scrolls 6 is gonna be that long and it certainly won't have the same scope as Starfield since it's most likely only taking place on one planet.
For the next 4 years we know we'll have at least one Xbox exclusive RPG every year.
So not sure what you mean by "waiting quite a while"
I'm sure goers don't mind waiting if the game is good. Playstation gamers waited an entire generation for The Last Guardian.
Yep Xbox is they hard to WRPGs, it will pretty much have one every year.
2023: Starfield
2024: Avowed
2025: Fable
2026: Clockwork Revolution
2027: The Outers Worlds
2028: ES6
JRPGs are great but their biggest pit fall is they are usually one and done games with little replayability except extra difficulty modes. WRPGs last for years since you have a new experience every play through.
Entirely different styles of games. Neither is better than the other because they aim to provide different experiences.
I have tremendous respect for Xenoblade, Elden Ring, Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy but they are different games in nearly every aspect of design
Dark Souls and The Witcher series is all I need for RPGs. I'm about to be 30 year's old and I'm hoping that they continue to make these games before I get real old
I prefer JRPGs, I can barely sit through more WRPGs, but then again, it's hard finding good JRPGs these days.
@Fanatic
Borderlands drained my soul from me at one point. Looking at Bethesda stuff its meh to me but i played some other wrpg I could never finish them. I just lose interest and they went know where I believe.
@pork
Maybe but they both are RPG
Not sure that will be the release schedule at all.
First off Im concerned for avowed though I trust obsidian.
Fable Im also concerned since no real gameplay was shown...2025 might be on the money for that one though. But they could release it next year...its been in development for quite a bit. Same with clockwork revolution. MS has been saying they dont wanna show games too early...so Im hopin for next coupler of years.
Elder scrolls 6 is going to be at least 2028...that is likely.
2024 will likely be a big year for Microsoft with all the games theyve shown. Id say between 2024 and 2025 will realease most of the ones they showed off.
I think clockwork revolution will be out by 2025 at latest. That game has been in development for like 3 years
It's amazing that you know all of these release years. Can you share your crystal ball? Fairly certain Clockwork Revolution will be released within 2 years.
Who would believe that Xbox under Phil Spencer´s leadership would become the house of first party RPGs and single player games.
As an RPG fan myself, I couldn´t be happier!
A universe of wonders will be upon us Xbox fans and gamers, coming September with Starfield!
I can´t wait!
Except you would have gotten all of that regardless of ownership. All Xbox accomplished is taking them off competitors platforms. Of course you'd be happier.
@Crows90
All of those studios has been Xbox first party studios since 2018, so it´s past time for you to get over it. It isn´t anyone´s fault if your preferred brand won´t invest in first party RPG games and studios.
If Phil acquired/created so many RPG studios and teams, is because RPGs games are in line with his vision for a more genre diverse library of games for Xbox.
So take your frustrations and complaints elsewhere. Demand more and better from whatever company you support, and enjoy your games.
Seems the ubiquitous delusions of the Xbox 360 era is back after one decent summer showcase from MS, it's like the last 10-12 years of nothingness has been forgotten... the consistent vitriol, chimera and hogwash spewed from the likes of Obscure, 343, KingKionic, sparky, Magog and others is disgusting to see, times like these is where the openzone was a much needed cesspool for this lot... They takeover EVERY positive Xbox related articles along with every negative Sony one.. I know the toxicity isn't as bad as it used to be, but It's really tiresome visiting this website most of the times, I know the easy thing would be to try and ignore, but for a guy like me who sporadically comments and likes to read the intelligent and insightful opinions of others its difficult.
@Crows90 first off Bethesda went to MS looking to be bought not the other way around LOL .. and judging by the way things were going before MS bought them who knows if we would of got those games ….. second , bruh if it wasn’t for MS helping Bethesda get into the console space you wouldn’t be getting a damn thing. Todd Howard barely even likes Sony , and that’s been know for years ..
Without Phil:
We would have gotten a BUGGY and cheap small scale State Of Decay with multiplayer banding.
We would have gotten a small scale low quality and cheap avowed unlike the one shown that still needs some work.
We would have gotten a small scale cheap Hell Blade instead of one with that level of facial physics animations and yes they can do it like ratchet and clank because it is not open world like Horizon but super linear like Rift Apart.
We would have gotten No Initiative Perfect Dark and Setup to Purchase Tomb Raider.(Give Time)
We would have gotten No Open World Clock Work rpg just like open world State Of Decay, avowed and Pillars Of Exile. Instead Only Isometric Pillars Of Exile Only.
We would have gotten No Open World Fable.
We would have gotten A Bugthesda Starfield that had a much smaller scale on multiple competing platforms instead of one with way less bugs and console industry leading scale. (If Starfield was PS5 exclusive and No Mans Sky was Xbox exclusive you and all like you would say No Mans Sky Quality is not comparable to StarField)
We certainly would Not get any of this for 10 dollars a month either.
We would Not be getting a South Of Midnight without Phil.
We would Not be getting a ContraBand.(Open World most likely)
We would Not be getting a Indiana Jones.(Open World most likely)
Phil can be annoying but, that is simply a lie.
Companies like Obsidian, Ninja Theory, and inXile would still need to find publisher for their games anyway. Under MS they have the cash to do whatever they want without having too much worry.
@Obsucre..
Oh geez has it really been that long??? Thats a shit ton of time with no results...except for mostly bad ones. A bullshit deal is still a bullshit deal no matter how long ago it occurred. I dont prefer a brand but I dont like bullshit either. Microsoft reeks of it through all their PR and purchases.
As far as his vision...wasnt it to make sure more gamers get access to games? Cant keep track with the lies. But no it has nothing to do with RPG studios being in line with any vision. Their vision is content for gamepass. They didnt buy a bunch of new, noname rpg studios. They bought the most well known and holders of some of the most beloved franchises and IP in the western gaming sector. Yeah...vision of rpg my arse.
I demanded better form xbox, which i supported throughout half of the xbox one generation but never wanted bullshit deals and no new IP. I demanded better from them and instead, after all this time and saying to wait and how gaming and games are for everyone and access to said games is the vision...they go on to buy a bunch of my beloved IP...and now arkane released redfall. Arkane...how does that happen. I do demand better form those that would buy their way through the industry without earning any respect or trust from most gamers.
Starfield will be great...yeah no shit, its bethesda...they made morrowind, oblivion, fallout and skyrim. Who wouldve expected them to release a title with their style again??
@NX
Youre making a lot of guesses there. And I guess a ton of fortunetelling...none of what you say is true since it hasnt happened yet.
@Wrex
Dont need money for gamepass on PC. Its practically free.
@Obscure "It isn´t anyone´s fault if your preferred brand won´t invest in first party RPG games and studios". Thank you for saying this....now I never wan't to hear another single complaint out of your mouth regarding any third party exclusives such as Final Fantasy 16 or any future ones that come to Playstation. Because as you just said it isn't anyones fault if Xbox won't invest in bringing those games to you either. Right!!!?
"Oh geez has it really been that long??? Thats a shit ton of time with no results...except for mostly bad ones."
Tell me more about the bad *ones* plural. The only bad result was Redfall as far I can recall.
And yes, game development takes time, especially considering current gen AAA games development. Booty already said that modern games takes 4 to 6 years to be developed. That´s why MS is acquiring so many studios, to meet their goal and release 4 first party games in a year.
"As far as his vision...wasnt it to make sure more gamers get access to games? Cant keep track with the lies."
Well, he delivered on his promises. I lost track of how many platforms Xbox games will be available to play. Especially with the advancement on the Cloud Gaming space.
Now, Phil have no compromise or obligation to release Xbox games on competition´s platform. That would make zero sense, from a business standpoint, at least of course, we´re talking about very specific type of games like Minecraft, for instance.
"They didnt buy a bunch of new, noname rpg studios. They bought the most well known and holders of some of the most beloved franchises and IP in the western gaming sector. Yeah...vision of rpg my arse"
Yes, vision of RPG. You can scream and shout all you want. But the truth, is that Phil acquired studios that suits his vision for Xbox just like the competition has been doing the last couple of years, focusing on... well... let´s just say... elsewhere.
Besides, by the time Phil acquired most of those studios, there´s many people referring to Bethesda as shadow of its former self, InXile as a small not relevant studio and Obsidian as a broken near-bankrupted studio. Now that those studios are Xbox first party studios, the same people feel like they have the right to demand Xbox to release games on their beloved console. Go figure.
"I demanded better from them and instead, after all this time and saying to wait and how gaming and games are for everyone and access to said games is the vision...they go on to buy a bunch of my beloved IP...and now arkane released redfall."
Phil bough Bethesda because it was for sale, that´s how business works. You don´t have to like it, but it is what it is. You should blame Bethesda for not caring about Playstation.
@Charlieboy333
"Thank you for saying this....now I never wan't to hear another single complaint out of your mouth regarding any third party exclusives such as Final Fantasy 16 or any future ones that come to Playstation"
You´re in luck then, because for all I care, Sony can buy SquareEnix today and I won´t give a sh!t.
Quite contrary, I´ll personally salute them for doing so. I said many times that I rather have Sony or MS buying those big publishers over other larger companies like Nextflix, Amazon, Embracer, Meta, Google, Tencent... etc.
Well, it depends on what you mean by “house of”. Most of these games aren’t going to be released anytime soon. So, i wonder what will be on offer elsewhere during the next 5 years. In other words, a little too soon to declare victory.
"Well, it depends on what you mean by “house of”. Most of these games aren’t going to be released anytime soon."
I´m not worried and most definitely not in a hurry, since Starfield will have tons of content to keep us busy for a long time before the next big Xbox first party RPG got released next year.
That is great news. You will have something hopefully great to play. I’m going to be enjoying Final Fantasy 16, and my backlog of games and hopefully catch up to PS5’s next masterpiece. Hope you enjoy yourself as well. Gaming is much shorter than most people realize because life catches up with you and suddenly you cant play games like you used to.
"Gaming is much shorter than most people realize because life catches up with you and suddenly you cant play games like you used to."
Indeed. So many games I like to try and I simple don´t have the time to play the vast majority of it all. We not getting any younger so we have to enjoy the most of gaming as we can.
I hope you enjoy Final Fantasy next week and that game turns out to be awesome! Happy gaming!
I mean, let’s not count our eggs before they hatch.
Right now, they just need a consistent output of any capacity.
Specifically a quality output Id say.
Starfield could be that first big game with quality.
@Crows:
“Consistency” requires more than a single data point to establish, by definition.
Even 2-3 data points could be jumping the gun.
And Xbox has alotta misses and empty years to make up before they can change what they are are known for consistently being: disappointing.
This Xbox new found pizaz has made my week
Xbox under Phil Spencer´s leadership would become the house of first party RPGs and single player games.
Never laughed so hard. If it was sarcasm....well done...if not... See previous 12 years of drought + doctors appointment, for a headcheck
Who would believe? Anyone! Phil has done a good job of turning Xbox around after the disastrous launch of the Xbox One, but he didn’t really do anything to turn Xbox into a RPG powerhouse. No Fable during the entire Xbox zone generation! All the Bethesda games were launching on Xbox anyway, regardless of whether Microsoft’s board approved spending $7.5B! The only decent decision for Phil was buying the developer of The Outer Worlds. I didn’t like the game but I expect The Outer Worlds 2 will be better.
Yep. Xbox will forever be king of WRPGS. Lord Phil holding down the west quite well.
Nothing but the best for xbox gamers.
If only they would sell as well as on the PlayStation...the actual king of all games sales.
Yep which is why worrying is silly. Games like Baldurs Gate 3 won't skip such a large audience and plenty of other studios making these type of games so no worries Playstation will lack anything.
Good for Xbox fans for sure though. Hopefully their fans support those games
By that logic then Nintendo is actually the king of all games sales (for console maker that is). Go look at their sale chart compared to Sony and MS.
@King
How many copies of skyrim did nintendo sell?
What backwards logic are you using? With multiplats sony consistently sells the most. Exclusive sales is where Nintendo shines. All those games microsoft can now claim exclusivity from come from traditionally 3rd party multiplatform developers.
@Othegamer5
Why would I get a check? You could reply that to nearly any comment here. Not sure the point youre trying to make. I dont think you have one.
So how can PS be the king of all game sale when Nintendo is actually the one selling the most amount of exclusive game? I fail to see your logic here.
And talking about taking away games, didn’t Sony recently just acquire Bungie, Insomniac, Bluepoint Game, Fabrik Games, Firesprite, Firewalk, Haven Studio, Housemarque, Savage Game Studio, Nixxes Software, and Valkyrie Entertainment? Why aren’t you calling out Sony for taking 10 multiplatform developers away from Xbox, Switch, and PC as well?
Wow cringe. The brainwashing of xbox fanbase was so effective. Its turned into a cult of personality.
That’s what happens when you buy all of the western rpg studios…
Let’s see if the talent stays long enough to maintain these established IPs.
considering that even diablo 4 sold more on playstation should tell you who your "king" is.
Lord Phil doesn’t even wanna waste time trying to compete with Sony’s games
Yep all this talk recently about starfield and all these other rpgs, yet barely anyone mentions bg3. This game is gonna be way better than all these ms rpgs
I'm curious about Clockwork Revolution, everything else I really don't care about. I'm into Jrpgs more so than Wrpgs.
I'm interested in Fable and Starfield. If they're good, then another 2 fire games (4games) and I'll get an xbox. Let those be good games and give me another 2 MS!
I’m looking forward to Avowed and Fable. Fine with me if they are spread out a little more so you have time to really sink your teeth into each one.
"Fine with me if they are spread out a little more so you have time to really sink your teeth into each one"
Exactly!
I liked Xbox for action games. Halo and Gears rule.
I don’t like rpgs.
I don’t like that since they couldn’t keep making action games, they bought mostly rpg studios to make up for lost time….
I just hope they don’t screw up DOOM and Wolfenstein 3.
Correction: Xbox bought an incredible line up to take western RPGs away from non-Xbox fans.
All of these games would have released as multiplats if Microsoft hadn’t stepped in. But let’s be honest. They aren’t a game developer, they are a live subscription service. Can’t get billions off of microtransactions if you allow games like Skyrim and Fallout to release. Hell, gamers will pay 60 dollars for those titles once and play them for a decade. Have no fear though, the next Bethesda game will cost 15 dollars per month till the end of time.
Sony has been doing the same thing for decades and N4G has never had any problem with it. But now that the table has turned, you call out MS? I could have sworn just a few years (or heck, months) ago N4G has been sh*tting on MS for not having enough exclusive game. Now that they starting to release some, you guys still sh*tting on them for whatever reasons you make up.
It is funny sometimes.
I actually don’t think exclusivity is the problem. It’s the change in business model. GamePass is real issue. There is absolutely no way that don’t turn that platform into a giant micro transaction farm as soon as it succeeds in cutting into Sony and Nintendo’s market share. You don’t make Starfield “free” for the majority of people who can play it unless you plan on selling a ton of horse armor.
What disappoints me is that they bought up good rpg developers to make it happen. Microsoft can have all the Bethesdas and Activision Blizzards it wants. It’s just a shame to see them ruin a decent company like Obsidian.
@garret7
In the last few years, Sony had bought Bungie, Insomniac, Bluepoint Game, Fabrik Games, Firesprite, Firewalk, Haven Studio, Housemarque, Savage Game Studio, Nixxes Software, and Valkyrie Entertainment. MS has bought a total of 0 studio after their negotiation to acquire ABZ has started.
So please tell me, fanboy, what do you call that? Not buying up the gaming industry? Or does that apply to only MS?
Keep lying to yourself king. Sony bought developers that mostly made games on playstation. But you already know this. They weren't making multiplatform games. Sony also reacted by getting technical expertise developers since Microsoft started buying publishers. And the Bungie purchase allows their games to stay multiplatform. But you know this too.
It's funny that you defend a 2 TRILLION worth company that has tried to buy Nintendo to gain market share and got laughed at. Their competitor. That's how shady they are. Thought about buying Sega. They have more money than Sony or Nintendo but have done nothing but create revenue schemes or take away things. Even Kinect was a z camera that was running on PS2 before Microsoft took that away.
Microsoft has created nothing but a racing game. They bought Halo to take away from Mac, they bought Gears to keep it off PlayStation. They bought Zenimax Bethesda to take away Western RPGs and are trying to get Activision to take away games that sold more on PlayStation.
Keep shilling for one of the richest companies that should be creating twice as much content than Sony or Nintendo but have decided that services and subscriptions are more important than games. While trying to strip Sony of revenue.
@ApocalyseShadow
Lol what? Stop be a hypocrite and a liar dude. Bungie, Insomniac, Housemarque, Bluepoint, Firesprite, Valkyrie among others used to make game for multiple consoles. And it is ok for Sony to “react” and buy up developer but not for MS? Lol what?
If games are made by MS studio, then why isn’t it considered their games? Or do you mean MS’ janitor, security guard, chef, and CEOs have to make the games themselves in order to consider as their games?
Talking about keeping game multiplatform, isn’t Minecraft still multiplatform till this day? Didn’t MS offered to keep COD as a multiplatform game for 10 years? Also regarding service and subscription, correct me if I’m wrong, is MS stop selling game digitally and physically?
People can blast Xbox all they want and some of it is warranted, but the Sony fanboys the ones that talk about Xbox more than their own console of choice better start taking a hard look at Jim Ryan. 100 percent of the great games Sony has had the last decade were thanks to Shawn Layden. Jim Ryan doesn’t want great single player games, he wants multiplayer games as a service games and if you don’t see that you’re either naive or just don’t pay attention to what he’s done so far. I love PlayStation Xbox and Nintendo so I’m not saying this as some Xbox fan boy. I’m saying it out of concern based on Jim Ryan’s own comments and that dreadful showcase he just put on. This is the first time Xbox has clearly had a better showcase than Sony maybe ever.
Not sure how I feel about Avowed, lets see if it can scratch that Elder Scroll itch since there has been no words on ES6
There won’t be ES6 talk for a while due to Starfield. Maybe in like 4-5 years. I’m hoping less.
There are so many Microsoft rumors. Microsoft has to have good e3 make this all worth it.
RPG is my favourite genre so I couldn't be happier! There's been a severe lack of quality western RPG's lately so I feel this is needed.
Yeah because insomniac is a Sony internal dev, and Sony wouldn’t dare pay square to keep games oh Xbox. Could you be anymore see through
Same ppl who hate Xbox are in every Xbox article how funny is this😂 also saying the same stuff over and over
oh wow. a line up of rpgs coming up for the xbox. wonder how that worked out last time.
considering how your average xbox gamer's attention span is slightly better than a goldfish, good luck with those games that is not on the racing and bro-dude shoot fest category
NoobFeed Editor Joshua Burt writes - There are so many titles that will be coming to Xbox in the next coming years. But there are some that quite simply stand head and shoulders from the rest of the pack. These 10 games will be available exclusively on the Xbox (and PC of course) and they are truly some of the most highly anticipated games in the entire games industry.
Do they even have 10 /🌽JK
Btw when was elder scroll announced exclusive to Xbox? Did I missed something
All Bethesda games will be console exclusive, except existing agreements they already had in place such as Deathloop
I thought ALL xbox games were on PC now, so there were no more exclusives?
For me, it's just Hellblade 2 I'm interested in at the moment, based off the first game, but it would be nice to see more after all this time.
Yes anytime xbox exclusive is mentioned they mean console exclusive.
@SullysCigar
I think you can take it that if someone mentions that an Xbox game is exclusive it means it won't appear on PlayStation.
God of War is on PC, should we remove if from the list of best Playstation exclusives?
^ @gamer9, of course you should. If it's on PC it's multiplaform now, just like all xbox games.
It was exclusive for 4 years on PlayStation, but it's not anymore. You've got to be consistent.
"Btw when was elder scroll announced exclusive to Xbox? Did I missed something"
Have you been living under a rock?
@SullysCigar
so does sony games now are lunching on PC ... bu xbox Exclusive means MS platforms (windows,xbox,cloud gaming)
@SullysCigar
Not sure about what a PS exclsuive means tho its a PS game on microsoft platform.... Feels weird spelled weird... You want me to make a list for you for all the PS exclsuives in pc?
Might want to hold off your expectations for Fable and Perfect Dark. I don't think we'll see anything Perfect Dark related but I can see a in engine fly by camera in Fable. Showing off the world, but that's as far as that goes though.
All the talk of Golden Eye recently had me imagining a Perfect Dark and James Bond crossover. Will never happen but would be pretty cool.
I dont have any expectations other than when they are ready, they are ready. Maybe you misunderstood this piece? It's just about upcoming games in general. So regardless of their release dates, they are still the ones im looking forward to.
It's been confirmed already that neither Perfect Dark nor Fable will be at the show
Hellblade 2, Avowed, Gears 6, Starfield, and PD.
There is more but I'll leave it at that.
Hellblade is the only must have right now. Not that there won't be more, I'm actually really excited to see Redfall, Indiana Jones, Fable and Avowed and State of Decay 3. I just think the idea of saying they are must have games when we haven't seen ANYTHING from them outside of a CG reveal trailer is ridiculous.
My expectations for Perfect Dark and Everwild are also kept very low given the issues developers are having. Theres also rumours of Playground suffering with Fable which I hope aren't true.
The only PC/Xbox game I'm interested in is State of Decay 3. And yes I realize we haven't seen gameplay. I'm just expecting it to be better than State of Decay 2 which was already fun for me dispite its flaws.
Would like to see some real gameplay of the following games. And not a trailer but actual game being played on stage
Starfield
RedFall
Indiana Jones
Some games that I would love to get announced:
Gears remastered collection
Fallout 3/NV remastered
Other than that I just want to see what some of the Ms studios are working on
Would love to see more of these but for some of these it might be too early
Next gears, fable, the outer worlds 2 and perfect dark
I think the box showcase on Sunday can be excellent if they just show gameplay of the games they've already announced. We don't need early production announcements of anything else we won't see for another few years. Just show us what we can play soon. That will keep me happy.
I want to see what Compulsion's been up to all these years. We Happy Few was a 2018 game and it wasn't all that long. Between all the MS heavy hitters getting delays, it would be nice to see some stuff shown with smaller concepts that might be closer to release.
"Gears remastered collection
Fallout 3/NV remastered"
Not trying to take away your excitement but do we really need more Gears? They all BC plus all on GP I just don't see the point in a Gears collection personally.
There's heavy speculation that MS show will have lots of gameplay this time around finally.
I care more about fallout 3/NV with all dlc remastered. But I feel like gears has a real chance of happening simply because it seems easier and more popular on Xbox
Being on BC isn't the same as remastered with some actual effort being put into the games
If it means we finally get to play Gears 2 and 3 on PC, then yes, we need more Gears.
Starfield, Avowed, Wolfenstein3, Fable, Quake reboot, and all the old CODs to hit gamepass with full lobbies via BC (once activision acquisition is complete)
"These 10 games will be available exclusively on the Xbox (and PC of course)"
Now that right there is an oxymoron.
People need to just refer to them as console exclusives at this point. And that's not hating on Xbox, the PC released ps games are console exclusives as well. Doesn't make sense to just say exclusive when it's also on pc.
Avowed, Starfiled, Hellblade 2 and hopes of a rumored Killer Instinct being true.
I could collapse all 10 into Starfield. Hellblade 2 looks good but Hellblade doesn’t have nearly as big of an audience as a big RPG from Bethesda.
@ gamer
Again any definite words from Microsoft stating that or as usual it’s all smoke and mirrors to make their Xbox base assume that “ it’s going to be exclusive “ even tho it’s going to BE ON PC DAY 🤦🏿
Halo is on PC as well and should be removed along with 100% of Xbox games that are on game pass or been on PC.
Now a little historical fact for you since you are young and started playing on Xbox 360 era
Exclusive game = consoles or PC
NON EXCLUSIVE = console and PC
Time exclusive = for a limited time on a console or PC then both
There’s was no such thing as “console exclusive” till Microsoft was been crushed by Sony on the PS3 era with high quality EXCLUSIVES so they came up with the “console exclusive “ to trick the public into believing they had exclusives too even tho it was timed exclusives🤦🏿
God of war and any other game is exclusive till the time when they go on PC then it becomes time exclusives but hey whatever helps you sleep at night
Cool, say it however you want, all the games in this article are not on PlayStation. And the majority of PS5 users will not play these games. You’re on N4G the biggest console war site of all time lol
Why are we bringing up an argument from 2016? Nobody cares it's console and PC pick where you want to play.
Microsoft includes PC, in the Xbox Family. PC uses Windows, which Microsoft owns. To play games at a Series X level, you have to have a decent PC. I have one, but almost always play on my consoles. Also Game Pass is available, on pretty much any device accept Switch and Playstation.
It really isn't a big deal, like you've made it out to be. Series consoles are selling very well, and selling way more than XB1 did. There are some great games, in the very near future coming out that you can play all kinds of ways. Why be so negative about it? Sheesh.
@ iplay
Do you really said that Microsoft own the PC platform because of windows 🤦🏿 I’m not been negative just giving you and the others that claim games going to PC are exclusive because they’re not on PlayStation a REALITY CHECK 🤷🏿 but whatever helps you sleep at night is good for you bottom line is Microsoft got good games coming up for Xbox/PC and perhaps have a amazing game in the future but that doesn’t they are exclusive just because it’s not on the other 2 consoles as a matter of fact you can play new Microsoft first party Xbox games without a Xbox but can you play new PlayStation first party games without a PlayStation……………….
Anyways let me leave it at that before I get red flagged bye 👋
Mate you're taking this way too seriously lol. 99% of console gamers dont care if a game releases on pc apart from a few clowns who cried when spiderman was announced for pc.
Exactly and those clowns are the ones that keep pushing the “ console exclusive “ narrative 🤦🏿 and think that because Pc run windows it’s a Microsoft own platform 🤦🏿😂
For me it would be perfect dark but not holding my breath on that one, Indiana Jones but literally seen a logo, redfall from Arkane as they are brilliant, Banjo3, a new amped, project Gotham racing. They got a lot of IP’s they could dip into and should, they could bang an amped out in a few months with the right team they got the money they got the people under their umbrella other people are releasing top games they need to massively step it up less talking let the gameplay do the talking. I don’t wanna be told it’s gonna be good I can see that for myself 😏✌🏻😜
Also if goldeneye actually gets announced gonna be very hard for me not to buy an Xbox but for goldeneye?! I’d probably try and wait for a few others to launch first but have been dying to blast that game again properly for ages, rare replay was the main reason I bought Xbox last gen looks it’ll be good ol rare again 🙌🏻🤣
As a PC gamer that also owns a ps5, I can't think of any I'm looking forward to. In recent years, MS 1st party games have failed to even match, with regard to quality, the better 3rd party games of the time.
Will add an addendum, Forza Horizon is pretty good, very pretty, and lots of fun. Nothing mindblowing, but probably the only series they have that really feels like a first party title these days.
Avowed since obsidian is making it. Probably playing all "Xbox" games on PC since I don't have an Xbox. But I do have a gaming laptop for that very purpose.
Avowed no gameplay
Fable no gameplay
Perfect dark no gameplay
Looking forward to seeing something.
That's the only Xbox game I'm looking forward to. I want to see what Obsidian could do with no constraints of time and money.
we wont see gameplay for fable and perfect dark for awhile those two games are still 2-3 years away
Probably more like 4-5. They'll release in the second half of the generation probably
Just glad we're finally getting our eyes on Avowed in a few days. Have big hopes for it
yeah i love sod2, if they can make the multiplayer un-tethered in 3 then i'm all in.
Besides the ones everyone is saying I'm very interested in Contraband and Indiana Jones (not confirmed as exclusive or cross-platform, but I don't care, excited for it)
It’s going to take the entire generation to put out 10 exclusive games at their current pace…
really excited for darktide, avowed, starfield, state of decay 3 and indiana jones. Prey was one of my favourite games last gen from arkane but i'll have to wait till i see gameplay of redfall before i get hyped. really looking forward to replaced and somerville as well
Microsoft recently acquired Bethesda and it seems like we're finally going to see what that means for the gamers at the Xbox Bethesda showcase.
Thing we want. The title of the news. They are a quality studio and i think that the most important things are when they are coming and the lack of bugs.
They’re referring to the whole conference though (including Xbox). If you read the article you would’ve known that…
STALKER 2 gameplay
Starfield gameplay
Horizon 5 gameplay
Current Machinegames non-Indiana project reveal
Current Compulsion Games project reveal
Current Arkane Austin project reveal
Other third party collab game announcement, if any
All very good points. I honestly hope we see even just one of the things you've mentioned. Especially Stalker 2.
"we're finally going to see what that means for the gamers"
This is what I've been waiting for, showing Bethesda games on xbox means nothing as these games were always coming out on xbox. I want to know if MS has banned other systems from getting these games and what that means going forward.
MS taking Bethesda makes no difference to xbox owners but for the larger gaming world it would be nice to know.
If there is a contract to have games on other consoles that will most likely not change even though MS own Bethesda now
They ready revealed that. Phil Spencer said they purchased ZeniMax to bolster their first party exclusive content. Some games that were already announced and about to release already had timed exclusive deals with Sony.
@TheGreatGazoo30
I hope you're wrong, if not MS one of the wealthiest companies in the world spent $7+ billion buying Bethesda not to add to the xbox library as they were already getting Bethesda games, but they used that money to make everyone else's gaming library smaller.
It may be good for MS share holders but for gamers that just sucks.
They already changed em. Said they’d honour but obviously saw deathloop was getting a lot of love and did an Xbox 360 😑 was exclusive to console (Ps5) now it’ll be out September 2022 😑🤷🏻♂️ Not exactly honouring your deals is it if it was a full console exclusive which it was but it’s now a timed exclusive but Microsoft are for the consumer so they obviously don’t wanna advertise that they backtracked and their words can’t be trusted, call me when you drop something worthwhile, all this just wait for… been waiting 8-10 years shall I wait another gen 😑🤷🏻♂️ 🤣
Well you’re actually wrong. It means a lot for Xbox gamers because now there are more games they won’t have to shell out money for. Xbox acquiring bethesda is saving a lot of money for current gamepass subscribers.
"It means a lot for Xbox gamers because now there are more games they won’t have to shell out money for"
So removing other platforms access to multiplatform games is a good thing?
How can that service cover the cost of not only current xbox games but Bethesda games also? Don't forget that MS banning Bethesda titles from other platforms that pay full price for said games means the money has to come from somewhere. I guess forcing fans of Bethesda titles onto xbox might make some of that short fall up, but if not get ready for some major cuts in game development and future titles and a gamepass price rise to cover costs.
They do have a choice that could make everyone happy, keep Bethesda titles on all systems, that would also help with the cost of putting them on gamepass.
Clearly not banned they’ve got more stuff releasing for ps5 than they have their own console currently I’m sure all the games will get 12 months hell maybe even 2 years exclusivity. Just like PS4:5-PC 3-5 years down the line they’ll crop up elsewhere… 💰 you ain’t recouping $6 billion by limiting the games to the console with the smallest audience. 50 million ish compared to easy 100 million incoming for switch (Nintendo’s 2nd time after Wii) and PS4 already cleared it so that’s 3/4 consoles (for Sony) I’m sure 5 is gonna make it 4/5 to clear 100 million. So they gonna ignore all those hundreds of millions of gamers, I don’t think so 🤷🏻♂️🤣 personally not played Skyrim yet nor fallout 4 so I’m good for a few years not a major Bethesda fan myself. Arkane tho 😅😏😜luc kily still got dishonored 2 to play not like 3’s even been announced and we all know Where Deathloop is launching day1 and at barely £45/50 I’ll be picking it up day1 🙌🏻
I know it's too much to ask for a full TES 6 reveal but it would be great if they could at least tell us where it's going to take place.
“But if Bethesda came out and said that Starfield & The Elder Scrolls VI were coming to Game Pass, on day one. Well, say hello to plenty of people who would not only subscribe but maybe even switch console.“
Not only is that bad grammar, but Microsoft have already said every bethesda game is day one. Why does every article pretend that this was never announced
Fair enough on the grammar, my bad. But it hasn't been confirmed that every Bethesda game is coming Game Pass on day one. Only Starfield has been mentioned and they said they intend to bring them on day one. No confirmation has been stated as far as I'm aware. Happy to be proved wrong though.
Here you go - https://www.google.co.uk/am...
"This includes Microsoft's intent to bring Bethesda's future games into Xbox Game Pass the same day they launch on Xbox or PC“
I can't seem to reply to your comment but the key word there is "intent".
It has been confirmed. Multiple times MS has said all 1st party games will launch day and date into GamePass. Bethesda is a first party studio now.
What I want to see is what Microsoft hates the most:
A) Actual gameplay running on final hardware
B) Release dates
C) New IP
Starfield gameplay. Will end with elder scrolls teaser. Might get a few new game reveals.
I also think we may hear about rumoured Ubiplay rolled into gamepass ultimate
I did read the 5 things these clowns want to see from Bethesda but I can tell that what you see at a E3 means little to nothing so I'll give you 3 and only 3 things that not only Bethesda but all Microsoft First Party needs to deliver on release day.
1- a working game with few to no issuss on release day.
2- no micro transactions of anykind.
3. Does not have to be a great game but a better than average game and the 343, Bethesda games must be all out system sellers not Game Pass sellers.
Get rid of the stupid sprint button and bring back athletics and acrobatics
Yeah nah stuff extra ocean content.
yeah no, in 99% of cases underwater combat is just bad/worse than regular combat, I'm good without it.
It will be developed by AI so there will be stuff all over the map. I'm not sure it will be fun, but there will be stuff.
Skyrim gotta be one of the most overrated games ever
