Rockstar know how to play their cards if they announce it's out in november it'll be huge. Although that 3 months away I can see it happening

GTA4 released in like April I'm thinking they will go with another April release for GTA5.

Out in 12 weeks? Not a chance!! Rockstar normally announce the release date then delay it by around 6 months later on, so imo they'll announce a March 2013 release date later this year then delay it until August, September!

Right back to topic i would love it to come out on November but i know rockstar and there tendancy to delay games i think around about 80% of their games gets delayed and pushed back so with that in mind i think april/may next year but i hope not.
When gta5 is out of the way i hope they make a start on red dead redemption 2 on next gen systems.

I can't see 'GTA V' releasing this year. Spring 2013 is a good bet.

Don't you think that 'GTA V' all but confirms that the PS4/Next Box won't be coming out until at least Holiday Season 2014 though? I just can't see Rockstar using assets for 'GTA V' for the PS3/360 if the PS4/Next Box were releasing next year. So, to me anyway, all but confirms the next gen consoles won't be out until late 2014.

As good as Rockstar are they will not release a game so close to Call of Duty which for years has won the #1 spot from November to December!

They will more than likely release around March-May 2013

we've only seen one trailer, a handful of screenshots, there's no gameplay details, no official cover art has been released.. The "hype-train" is definitley chugging along, but the marketing train hasn't even left the station.

One of the things I think is the biggest giveaway that it wont come out in the fall: There are no pre-order incentives, and those are pretty much the norm these days as retailers compete for these sales.. Retail outlest are not dumb, and I'm willing to bet that Best Buy, Wal-Mart/Target, Amazon, Steam, Gamestop, Game, etc.. are all clamouring to have their own exclusive pre-order incentives for what is sure to be one of the biggest and best selling games this gen. "Pre-order at store-X today and unlock the exclusive Niko Bellic outfit!" Pre-order at store Z to get early access to the FIB Buffalo in your garage!"

I know I might just be showing my ignorance here but, couldn't this be the reason pretty much every other game set to release around that time has been pushed back ?? Maybe they got some insider info that the next GTA was going to release sometime late this year and knew it was suicide to go up against it. I mean... It's an idea, right?? Please? Damn it, I just want to believe.

I think it'll be in Q1 of 2013 we see this released.

The reason I say that is I recall reading an article saying that the publisher can't meet it's fiscal year forecast without releasing the game as they either have no other real big releases or the ones they do have planned won't be enough to get them to that mark.

Whether it's true of course I couldn't say with 100% certainty but it certainly sounds reasonable to me.

Why would they purposefully go up against :

Halo 4, Black OPs 2 , AC 3, .....all released within a week of eachother.

The smartest thing is to release in March...which to me has always been 2nd November when it comes to games.

That way everybody has had 3-4 months with the other titles and then everybody can focus their attention on GTA V and take a break from FPS for a bit.

GTA spands generations, it really doesn't need lots of advertising or loads of time to build up hype. By the end of of Sept it'll be all over the place.

With Max Payne's MP linked to GTA's MP and with MP's lifespan in general only lasting so long the timing speaks volumes.

Oh well GTA 6 looks to continue that trend though.

It may not be the best GTA game ever in a lot of people's eyes the franchise is so rich and varried it's amazing how fast people's opinions of these games are but it s still a exceptional game in pretty much everyone's eyes.

I hated Trevor with a burning passion , i thought the way Johnny Klebitz ended was not in a good note and it made me dislike Trevor in general .. i hope he gets a far worse fate in GTA 6
